Ballymackey u12B girls won the major league today in a dramatic sudden death penalty shootout win over arra. Played in holycross grounds which was in excellent condition it was an evenly matched game with both defences on top, ballymackey had a couple of chances in the second half but were unable to convert and the game finished 0-0. The game went straight to penalties with 3 each to start with, arra scored two and missed one, it was the same for ballymackey with Carragh Tierney and Fiadh Kennedy both on target. Onto sudden death arra scored their fourth, up stepped holly hogan and rifled home, onto arras fifth and ballymackey goalie Ava o connell pulled  off a great save to keep the ball out, it then fell to Clodagh young to calmly slot home Ballymackeys fifth penalty and seal the win which lead to great celebrations from the girls. Afterwards ntsfl chairman Thomas Dwan presented the trophy to Ballymackey captain carragh Tierney.
